Five months ago Abundant Grace Baptist Church started with 8 people. My family and a sweet family from my father's church met several times before the grand-opening to talk about the upcoming ministry. The location that God provided is a spacious 1,080 sq. foot. that allowed us to initially accommodate around 45 chairs comfortably in this format. We planned to continue with this format for several months. However, God started sending families our way that needed the Gospel and that needed a healthy place to grow and learn sound doctrine. After a couple of months, we had to change our seating format to accommodate 70 chairs since we were growing constantly. However, for the last months our growth has been consistently steady and for the last few weeks, we have had almost 70 people attending our morning service. We don't want to presume anything, but we know that His kingdom will continue to expand on this earth through the church and the clear proclamation of the Word. Therefore, after five months of existence, we have had to face our first expansion project. One of the "disadvantages" of our location is that in the middle of the auditorium there is a bathroom. This is not only "unusual," but took space from our seating potential. However, when we signed the lease we thought that after a year of being there, we could talk to the owner about the possibility of tearing that bathroom down, if more space was needed. Well, we had to talk to him much earlier, and the owner had no problem with the idea. Demolishing this bathroom will increase our seating capacity from 70 to 110, adding much needed space not only for our services, but also for banquets, Bible studies, etc., and additionally will add to our auditorium a much more "normal" look. For the time being, we will only have one bathroom, but we are praying for the space right next door that a dentist is currently renting. She will be retiring soon, and we could use that space for classrooms that are located right now by our auditorium. In the near future, when she retires, we will move these classrooms from our auditorium to this next door location, which will increase our seating capacity from 110 to 150. Friends and partners in ministry, we are writing this update for you to rejoice in what God is doing. This project is 100% financed by Abundante Grace Baptist, and we are so thankful that they are giving so generously towards the ministry. We are thankful to see God rescuing sinners and healing many believers that have been so hurt by false teachers at "pseudo" churches with false doctrine. Please know that we do covet your prayers. PLEASE pray that God will continue to add more believers to the church, and that the clear and accurate preaching of the Word remains preeminent in our church. In Christ, Josué Ortiz.

God moves in mysterious ways, especially if He knew that you are serving Him through ways you know how. Five months ago, who would have thought that Abundant Grace Baptist Church will become this big? You are blessed because you have been spreading God's words in a manner where there is no discrimination and is full of acceptance. This makes me happy because growth came to you that fast. Josue, I hope you and your team will keep on doing the things you do for your faith. I am sure you will b e blessed even more!
