Just a few days ago we arrived in California for more meetings. When we moved to Mexico City in May, we did so knowing that we'd have to come back and attend some conferences that we had previously scheduled. We should be back in Mexico City the first week of November, and while we are eager to be back, we are also so thrilled to be at these churches. It's humbling to partner with churches that are healthy, growing, and have a great vision for the furtherance of the Kingdom of God. Just last week we were part of Shadow Mountain Baptist Church's missions conference. Wow! That was awesome. Last night we visited an already supporting church Faith Baptist and our dear friend Pastor Tim Rasmussen. What a delight to see how they are growing and impacting their community. The game plan now is to drive to Burbank to visit Victory Baptist (Pastor Nick Reed), Inland Hills Baptist, (Pastor Isaac Morin), fly to Denver to go to Front Range Baptist, (Pastor Jeff Redlin), and fly again to Connecticut to celebrate our commissioning service at our home church Emmanuel Baptist, (Pastor Cary Schmidt), then drive to Harvest Baptist, Pastor (Kurt Skelly), fly back to California to go to First Baptist of Long Beach, (Pastor Michael Jones), go to Lancaster Baptist, Pastor (Paul Chappell), and finally Coastline Baptist, (Pastor Steve Chappell).
Wow! As you can imagine, we can't wait to be at all these churches where I know God will partner us together for the cause of the Gospel.
Pray for us as we have much travel ahead of us. Also, please pray for my citizenship process. Everything should be done by now, but we were recently told that my application has been withhold for further review. When I obtain my citizenship, I will be allowed to be out of the U.S. as long as I need, which is ideal for a missionary. With my green card, which is what I have right now, I have to come back to the states every six months.
Dear friends and co-laborers in the ministry, Mexico City will soon have a new church, and it will be a direct result of your investment. We don't take for granted your sacrificial giving and we are excited to see you in Mexico soon.
